We are now under new ownership and we are not, at present, serving food. We are, however, serving a great range of exciting real ales and some super wines.
We want to take the pub back to being a proper pub again and we want to make the old place feel cosy and warm. To that end we shall be closing for the first week of January for a bit of a refurb (re-opening 4pm Friday 9 Jan). After that we will commence serving food and we will be offering good, old-fashioned pub grub. In our other pub (the Three Horseshoes in Cranleigh) we have made a name for serving great burgers and a chilli to die for and we will be bringing them to the Sandrock as well.
At the Three Horseshoes we are currently the Campaign for Real Ale Pub of the Year for all of Surrey and Stonegate Inns, who own the freehold of both pubs as well as some 3,000 others nationwide, have made us their “Best for Beer” pub in the country. We hope to bring some of the beer skills we have developed there to bring you exciting, flavoursome real ales served through extremely clean pipes.
